My Story

I've worked at Mountbatten for nearly 7 years now.

It is an incredible place to be, let alone work! 4 years in the Care At Home Team, looking after patients and families in their own home, and nearly 3 years as part of the Reception Team - it is a privilege and an honour.

Many of you reading this will have already experienced the special care and support that Mountbatten provides, and many will find yourselves needing us in the future.

Mountbatten cared for my mum, Royle Luckett, who died 5 years ago in July, so have witnessed the care from both a personal and professional viewpoint.

Nowadays, more than ever, Mountbatten needs your support, due to economic, social and political pressures, and an ever increasing need for our services.

I have set myself the modest target of £150 this year - anything in excess of that is a bonus - I realise that times are tight for many but rest assured every donation matters. I am hoping that if I ask for less, I may receive more :)

It costs £10.5M a year to run Mountbatten.
