My Story

In 2024, I am taking to the skies and taking part in the first charity Wing Walk on the Isle of Wight in aid of Mountbatten and in remembrance of my grandad.

At the age of 56 my grandad became terminally ill with cancer of the oesophagus. In the last month of his life, he was cared for at the Mountbatten hospice. They took care of him and made sure he was comfortable until the very end. Andrew peacefully passed away in the company of his loving wife and son. The hospice staff stood by, providing comfort and support in this most difficult moment. 

This is why I believe Mountbatten hospice is such an important charity to us, because they are on standby when you need them most.
