Your generosity gives 24/7 expert care and support for free to around 2,000 people a day across the Island in their homes and in our 16-bed inpatient unit. £500 could pay for a 24-hour stay on our hospice ward for a patient and a course of bereavement sessions for a family member. Or it could pay for a Mountbatten nurse to care for a patient at home during the night and half a day of personal care to help them remain in the comfort of their own home whilst dying. Your kindness also gives free bereavement and psychological support to anyone who needs it and helps those with life-limiting conditions to live well during the last years of their life by providing rehabilitation & enablement services, art & music therapy, and a social programme.
